REQUIRED BEFORE ANY BOOKING
Handwriting Assessment — $175 | 45 minutes
Every handwriting journey starts with a clear picture of where your child is right now. In this virtual assessment, I'll evaluate your child's current handwriting skills, identify what's driving the struggle, and create a plan tailored to their needs. Also included in this assessment is a parent interview of your handwriting concerns for your child.
This assessment is required before booking any Handwriting Support packages or individual sessions — and $50 of your assessment fee is credited toward any handwriting package you choose, with no expiration.
After the assessment, you'll receive a brief written summary with my recommendation so you know exactly what's the right fit for your child.
This assessment is for handwriting support and educational planning purposes only. It is not a diagnostic evaluation or occupational therapy service, and does not replace a formal OT evaluation.

Yes — the Handwriting Assessment is required before any handwriting package or à la carte sessions. It's a 45-minute virtual (video call) session where we get a clear picture of your child's handwriting strengths and challenges, so every session after that is targeted and effective. As a thank-you for booking your Handwriting Assessment you'll receive a $50 credit (no expiration) toward any handwriting package.

Every child progresses at their own pace, but most families begin noticing improvements within the first several sessions. Consistency matters most — sticking with the recommended package structure gives your child the repetition needed to build lasting skills.

Handwriting Support is designed for Pre-K through 3rd grade — the key developmental window when letter formation habits are built and the right support makes the biggest difference. For students ready to begin cursive, typically starting around 3rd–4th grade, cursive instruction is available as part of ongoing sessions.

While I'm a licensed pediatric occupational therapist, Ready-2-Write sessions are support-focused, not clinical OT therapy. That means no diagnosis, treatment plans, or clinical assessments — just OT-backed strategies and hands-on practice designed specifically to build handwriting skills.

A Handwriting Assessment is required before ANY booking — this applies to packages and à la carte sessions equally. Once your Handwriting Assessment is complete, à la carte sessions are a great low-commitment way to try handwriting support before deciding on a full package. Your Assessment also comes with a $50 credit (no expiration) toward any handwriting package.
