Do I need the Handwriting Snapshot Session before booking a package?

Yes — the Snapshot Session is required before starting any package. It's a 45-minute session where I assess your child's handwriting, understand your goals, and recommend the right program. It ensures we start with a clear plan instead of guessing.

How long will it take to see results?

Handwriting is a skill that develops with consistent practice over time — similar to learning an instrument or a sport. Most families begin to notice improvement within a few sessions, but lasting, automatic change takes longer. I'll be honest with you throughout the process about where your child is and what they need.

What ages do you work with?

I specialize in Pre-K through 3rd grade — the most important window for handwriting development. This is when habits form and the right support makes the biggest difference.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! Virtual sessions are available for families anywhere in Florida. In-person sessions are available in the Aventura & surrounding South Florida area. Both formats are equally effective with consistent practice.

How is this different from seeing an OT?

This is specialized handwriting tutoring — not occupational therapy services. The focus is entirely on handwriting instruction and practice. If your child needs a full OT evaluation or treatment for underlying motor or sensory concerns, I'd be happy to help you find the right referral. But for many families, targeted handwriting tutoring is exactly what their child needs.

Can I start with just one session before committing to a package?

Absolutely. A single session is a great way to experience the tutoring before committing to a package. Most families find that after the first session, they're ready to book a package.

Do session packages expire?

All packages must be completed within 3 months of purchase. This keeps the momentum going and ensures your child makes consistent progress.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance through your booking confirmation link. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your session will incur a $25 late cancellation fee charged to the card on file.

What is your no-show policy?

A no-show is defined as missing a scheduled session without any prior notice. No-shows are non-refundable and the session is forfeited. For virtual sessions, I will hold the session for 15 minutes past the start time. For in-person sessions, if you are not available within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session is considered a no-show and the full session fee is forfeited. A second no-show may result in termination of your package without a refund for remaining sessions.

What is your refund policy?

Single sessions: if a session has not yet taken place, a full refund will be issued upon request. Once a session has been conducted, no refund will be issued. Packages: unused sessions will be refunded at the difference between the package rate and the single session rate. Sessions already completed will be repriced at the single session rate and deducted from any refund. To request a refund, please email hello@ready2write.com.

Do you take insurance?

This is a private pay tutoring service and does not bill insurance. Some families use FSA or HSA funds — check with your provider. Payment is due at the time of booking.

What do I need for a virtual session?

A tablet or laptop with a camera, a quiet space, and your child's writing supplies (pencil, crayons, paper). I'll send everything you need to know before your first session.
